Calling all Canadian planning students! Applications are now being accepted for the 2024 CIP/ICU Planning Student Trust Fund’s (CIP-PSTF) scholarship program. All CIP Student members enrolled in a full-time accredited Canadian planning program are eligible to apply.

Scholarships are awarded for student projects that best demonstrate excellence and a potential contribution to the planning profession (in theory or practice), or a potential service to a community or community group.

The Glenn Tunnock Climate Change Action Scholarship can be awarded to a student, or a small team of students. In the case of a team submission, all additional team members must also be enrolled (full-time or part-time) in a post-secondary program.

This year's scholarship offerings are:

  • $6,000 - CIP President's Scholarship

  • $5,000 - Dillon Consulting Limited Scholarship

  • $4,000 - Glenn Tunnock Climate Change Action Scholarship

  • $3,000 - Thomas Adams Scholarship

See CIP-PSTF's scholarships page for more details.

And there's a bonus! Thanks to the generous funding of the Ages Foundation, each of our scholarship recipients will be invited to attend the CIP/APPI national conference – CONNECTION, held in Edmonton, AB from July 9 to 11, 2024. All recipients will be able to participate in the full conference and receive their honours in person.

Don’t delay – apply for a scholarship today! The application deadline is February 16, 2024.

**Are you a full-time student in an accredited planning program, but not yet a CIP member? It’s easy, fast, and best of all, FREE to join! Apply here for your CIP membership. **
